Recently Michael Phelps got into a car accident after consuming some alcohol. He wasn’t at fault, in fact the woman he crashed into was charged with running a red light which is a very easy way to get your car smashed up. Point is, he admitted to drinking just an hour before the accident and the cops made it clear to say they did not give him a field sobriety test. So basically… he could have been drunk but the cops didn’t pursue the matter.

Last time I saw a PSA about alcohol and driving, they said “buzzed driving is drunk driving” so shouldn’t Michael be held at least somewhat responsible for the accident? I can’t really blame the guy though, if I were him and being celibate or whatever and not pulling in tail and knowing that I had to swim super fucking fast in a few years to be deemed special by the viewing public, I would probably kill myself because of the pressure.

Michael Phelps is like me. He enjoys pretty women. If there is anything else that he might like more than that, that would be a little bit of controversy to keep him in the headlines. That is probably why he is dating Miss California. I can’t really blame him, even though she is a homophobe, she is totally hot and I would hit that shit 6 ways a Sunday. Both Michael and Carrie aren’t really “celebrities.” Probably because they have no Hollywood talent. But we did get to hear about the relationship from Carrie’s grandmother. Grandmother?

Jeanette Coppolla, Carrie Prejean’s grandmother tells Radar, ” Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch. He always calls her when he is in town and they go out.” So he isn’t really “banging” Carrie Prejean. Which leaves the door wide open to me. Someone who doesn’t shave his chest. A real man that can chop down trees with his bare hands and can eat 15 pancakes in one sitting. A man like me. A man who can, damn it! I broke a nail! Now I have to go downtown and see the manicurist again.

Just days after the pic of Michael Phelps toking from a bong hit the internet and dominated the Super Bowl news coverage, Michael Phelps resumed swim training. He may have a little trouble with the law as well. A Richland County law enforcement official said, ” This case is no different than any other case.” Hinting around that he will press charges if he can prove that Phelps was indeed smoking pot in that South Carolina home. Michael Phelps, biggest gold medal winning Olympian in history and role model to millions of kids around the world being thrown in the slammer for hitting a bong.

My message basically is for people to ease up on this guy. He is 23 years old and I know a LOT of 23 year olds who like to get baked now and again. I don’t think they should revoke any company sponsorship either because they will never find a better athlete to take his spot. I can’t really put myself in this guys shoes though because I have only been swimming a few times in my life and only smoked out of a bong about 10 times in my life. every time I smoked from a bong I coughed and every time I got in the pool I sank. So yea, I guess me and MP have a lot in common. Maybe we can hang out some time. Maybe go to Amsterdam. Is it cool if I call you MP? I mean all friends have little nick names for each other. What’s that? You wouldn’t be caught dead with a 25 year old blogger that doesn’t have a life outside of his computer room? How rude Michael Phelps. Just when I thought we were soul mates.
