The completely awesome and utterly undervalued NBC sitcom “Scrubs“, is set to shoot a musical episode that will air sometime this coming season. The Tony award winning “Avenue Q” will write and compose the music.

Debra Fordham, a supervising producer for “Scrubs” told Playbill, “The general plot is that a woman comes into Sacred Heart, our hospital, complaining that she constantly hears music, yet all her tests come back normal. Is she just crazy? Or is something else going on?”

“Avenue Q” won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2004.

Fordham went on to say that Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx will write “the big opening number, the act break and the finale. The fourth one is a song about a stool sample!” (source)

I’m a huge fan of Scrubs. It’s a show that should have never worked but great writing and a solid cast have proved otherwise. Normally, I would say that a musical episode would be jumping the shark, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s Scrubs. I’m not usually a big fan of musicals, I’m more of a hard core gangster with mad street skillz. Like that time me and my crew got in a dance fight with those crazy bastards the Sharks. If it weren’t for my thug-ass jazz hands and spin moves, I might have lost my switch-blade comb, baby. Cool….

Fresh off his getting dumped breakup with Mandy Moore, Zach Braff apparently has his sights on Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson and Zach Braff were spotted canoodling by witnesses reports Us Weekly.  The magazine reports that the newly single Braff, who just broke up with Mandy Moore, is “aggressively pursuing the recently divorced singer.”(source)

I really like Zach Braff but I think this whole witty, intelligent guy who gets the smoking hot girls things is a little played out. Been there. Done that. I aggressively pursued a girl one time. At least that’s what I called it. Her attorney called it “stalking” when he gave me the “restraining order” and told me to “cease and desist” or face “criminal prosecution”. I don’t need some citified fancy-pants lawyer throwing ten dollar legal terms and air quotes at me to know what love is. She’ll come around. You’ll see. I mean, just the other day she left the basement window partially unlocked at her house. That’s a good sign right?
