This is Carla Bruni, whom  – if you’re up on your NPR and BBC you’ll know – just married French President Nicolas Sarkozy. She’s a model, singer etc, etc – basically because she’s inordinately rich having grown up in boarding schools and luxury due to her family’s ties to Pirelli and other fortunes. The kicker here is that she’s smoking hot and she’s 41. That’s because god hates Europeans so much that he made them all insufferable asses and made their women really hot just to piss them off. True story. I read it in the bible.

French president Nicolas Sarkozy and the very sexy Carla Bruni, the Italian-born supermodel-turned-singer, married at the Elysée Palace in a secret civil ceremony on Saturday that lasted around 20 minutes. 

It is barely eleven weeks after their first meeting, but the marriage is an act advisers hoped would stem his dire poll ratings and draw a line under the celebrity romance that has enthralled and nauseated the nation.  (source)
