Earlier this week Britney Spears gave birth to a baby boy, whom she and husband Kevin Federline named Sutton Pierce Federline so that the newborn’s initials would be that same as his older brother Sean Preston Federline.

The infant, born Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital, now has the same initials as his big brother, Sean Preston Federline.

The boys also (almost) share a birthday – Sean Preston turned 1 on Thursday, just two days after his brother was born.

Sutton Pierce has two half-siblings as well: sister Kori, 4, and brother Kaleb, 2, his dad’s kids with actress Shar Jackson. (source)

The Federlines are going for the one-two punch with SPF’s 1 and 2 and Kori and Kaleb. Alliteration and repetition are hillbilly nomenclature mainstays.  Just ask my dogs, Blackie 1-5. I got my black lab puppy, Blackie 1 for Christmas one year but he ran away so my mom got me another one to take his place. I guess she thought I wouldn’t notice the difference, but Blackie 2 was a grey mutt that looked like Benji. Blackie 3 was my neighbor’s dog and Blackie 4 was a dead cat. Blackie 5 ended up being a homeless kid that was living under our trailer. He was really good at fetching. That said….
Sutton Pierce is an awesomely pretentious name. It’s no Whipple Spaulding Newell III, but as far as names go, it’s got it’s butter spread across the scone of life with the proper knife. If names were destiny, this kid would be prancing around the clay courts at the country club with a popped collar and a cashmere sweater tied around his neck–just so. Unfortunately, aristocratic names arbitrarily granted by trailer park royalty do not necessarily guide one’s destiny. So instead of caviar and toast points over champagne on the yacht, I think this kid is destined for the receiving end of a hostage negotiation phone call. “Where’s my god damn plane?”
