Heather Graham’s new sitcom Emily’s Reasons Why Not has shut down production after just one show.

Despite a huge promotional push, the show ceased production after filming the sixth episode last Friday, virtually guaranteeing the sitcom’s cancellation.

Emily’s Reasons Why Not debuted last Monday on ABC and received poor ratings.

The show’s executive producer Gavin Polone says, "They promoted it like crazy and when the audience stays away in this super-competitive environment, quick decisions are made. That’s the television business."

I knew this show was going to tank before it ever aired, but I never thought it wouldn’t make it past the pilot. The promos looked weak and the whole premise seemed a little hackneyed. Plus, because it was prime time on ABC, I probably wasn’t going to get to see Heather Graham’s huge naked rack. That’s a huge drawback for me. I really like Heather Graham, I think she has good range as an actress but she has been pigeon-holed into the "zany" roles ever since she did Austin Powers. A good example of her range is the movie Boogie Nights. Specifically, the scene where she asks Dirk Diggler, "So…we gonna fuck? Okay, here we go." and then pulled off her clothes. Pure thespian gold.
