Lindsay Lohan, who is set to play in the upcoming John Lennon film “Chapter 27, had decided to pay tribute to Lennon on her own by getting a tattoo on her arm.

Lindsay Lohan will get the word “breathe” tattooed onto her forearm,
inspired by Lennon’s famous quote, “Get out there and get peace, think
peace, live peace, and breathe peace, and you’ll get it as soon as you
like.”

Honestly, I don’t see how taking a random word from a song lyric qualifies as a tribute. I should get a tattoo on my ass of the letter “e”, then just say it’s a tribute to Robert Johnson from his song “Crossroad Blues”. I would be a real blues man then. I could find that 29th song.

The real issue here is the fact that she is paying tribute to John Lennon in the first place. I think her dad was in middle school when John Lennon was killed. I bet if you asked Lindsay Lohan, the famous singer, to name three Beatles and/or John Lennon songs she would just giggle and pull off her top. Now that would be a tribute.

What really cracks me up is when people get Asian symbols or kanji tattoos and have no idea what they mean. For example, Britney Spears got a tattoo that she thought was the symbol for “mysterious”. Instead,
my Tokyo homies from Shinjuku tell me that she got the symbol for “strange”. Kitsunegari, more like. On the subject of tattoos, I am all for them, in the right context. For example, my mom’s tattoo “slippery when wet” on her inner thigh - that she constantly displays at family functions - is probably pushing the envelope of good taste. I have a tatoo too. It’s 3 numerals? Well, it’s more of a birthmark. Its on my head, covered by my hair. I can barely see it. “6″ something. But, boy can I play guitar.
