News about infidelity on the show Jon and Kate Plus 8or behind the scenes rather are only a month or so old. However, during this time the tabloids have had a mega telescope focusing on the Gosselin family. Including Jon hanging with a 23 year old school teacher named Dianna Hummel and Kate blood brother speaking to another tabloid saying Jon came to his door one day and said he thinks that Kate is cheating on him with a security guard.

Because of all the media hype and the unraveling of the marriage when the cameras weren’t rolling has led to Jon and Kate Gosselin getting a divorce. It is a shame because or two years now I have been watching the show religiously and have seen every single episode more than one time.

On last night’s episode after a lot of build up,and not wanting to shoot their wad too early and lose the ratings, they finally admitted that they will indeed be separating. It was Jon himself who broke the news first for those of you who did not tune in. Of course on Twitter and a few other entertainment blogs, since the paparazzi follow Jon and Kate everywhere, they saw Jon and Kate go to the courthouse, or at least Kate and knew that they indeed filed for divorce yesterday afternoon.

At the end of the day, the couple or former couple said that their first and highest priority is the health and happiness of their children, which I understand. There is even talks of the show going on hiatus until a later date, which I hope doesn’t happen because I am a big fan. In the meantime we will see what happens and we will see what will be said between Jon and Kate when they don’t have to answer to each other at the end of the day.
