Outfielder, slugger and all around pain in the ass Manny Ramirez got traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in what ESPN is calling a three-way deal. (teehee, three way!). The trade was controversial because the Red Sox could have picked up Ramirez’ option but they didn’t, which left Manny not-so-subtly letting everyone know that he wouldn’t be giving 100% from here on out.

Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Red Sox will pay the remaining $7 million of Ramirez’s contract owed for this season, ESPN.com’s Peter Gammons reported.

“When a player like Manny becomes available, I don’t think there’s a manager in baseball who wouldn’t say they’re interested,” said Dodgers manager Joe Torre, whose Yankees teams went toe-to-toe with Ramirez for years. “It was something that happened very quickly, obviously.”

Outfielder Jason Bay is going to Boston and the Pittsburgh Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.

Third baseman Andy LaRoche and right-handed pitcher Bryan Morris will go to the Pirates from the Dodgers. Outfielder Brandon Moss and right-handed pitcher Craig Hansen will leave the Red Sox organization for Pittsburgh. (ESPN)

Manny Ramirez is a spoiled dick like all “new money” assholes get when they go from being dirt poor to way too fucking rich. He’s solid player who always gets the job done (500 home runs, most grand slams of any active player), but baseball isn’t a solo sport.  There is no “I” in team, but there is one in dick. (Don’t get me started on the DH rule. Guh).

His antics like, not showing up for spring training, taking piss breaks during the game, calling out sick the day of game, fighting, bitching, moaning and literally saying that he was too good for the Red Sox and his multi-million dollar salary have always been written of by Sox fans as Manny being Manny. Well, Manny is bitch and thankfully he’ll be a bitch on the west coast until he becomes a free agent in a few months. I think that a lot of Sox fans are actually glad to see him go. Except the ones who wanted the Sox to have a chance in the World Series this year, because that’s shot. Thanks for fucking it up for every one in Boston, jerk.
